If, like me, you've been shopping around for a while looking for ways to naturally grow the size of your breasts, the chances are that you've found several products on the shelves of Canadian health food stores that mention progesterone that comes from natural sources. Beware… this is a lie.
There are several shady companies that want to trick consumers into believing that yam and soy are sources of progesterone. While it is true that these two plants can produce progesterone, they can ONLY DO SO in a laboratory. This is the process that is used to produce bio-identical progesterone requiring the use of enzymes that are not produced by the human body.
Should we contact the manufacturers of these products, they tell us that yam and soy contain progesterone precursors and that the body converts these precursors 1 to 1 into bio-identical progesterone. When they are asked about studies that prove this, they tell us about the wonderful and incredible results with their product… and change the subject. Yes, they are useful products, but only because they naturally contain estrogen, which can be used to make breasts bigger or help with premenstrual symptoms.
The situation is simple: yam and soy can make progesterone ONLY within laboratories. If someone tries to sell you a Canadian product that is not prescribed and contains progesterone (bio-identical or synthetic) it is fraudulent or illegal. There are only two ways to obtain bio-identical progesterone: a specific prescription for bio-identical progesterone from a specialty pharmacist who will put together a properly-made bio-identical product for you, or by importing from abroad where bio-identical progesterone is available without a prescription, buying it like you would buy vitamins.
